The event, presented by Mermaid Series, takes place at 1740 E Mission Bay Dr, San Diego, CA. It offers multiple race formats on the same day and includes both in-person and virtual options.

Registration includes a tech race shirt, finisher medal, and necklace by default. Participants may remove individual swag items to reduce their entry fee (No Shirt: save $8; No Medal: save $3; No Necklace: save $3). Youth 19 and under receive a 20% age discount that is applied during registration.
Registration fees vary by distance and by registration period. Example base registration amounts shown in the event schedule include $64 for the Half Marathon, $54 for the 10K, $44 for the 5K, $44 for the Virtual Run, and $15 for the Mermaid Dash; processing fees apply. The virtual run has a registration deadline to ensure packet delivery by race day.
Course maps are provided for each distance. The Mermaid Dash has separate starts for ages 9 to 12 and ages 6 to 8; parents may run alongside younger or shy participants. Credits for nonattendance are available if requested at least ten days before the event; credits are valid through the following calendar year and are nontransferable.
