Mercy Health 5K & Fun Run
This community running event at E. Carroll Joyner Park in Wake Forest benefits Mercy Health Clinic. It offers a timed 5K race and an untimed family-friendly 1 mile fun run or walk. Proceeds support Mercy Health Clinic’s mission to provide free medical care to people in need.
Registration opens April 22, 2026. Registration fees increase on set dates across the season: for the 5K the fee is $30 through July 31, $35 from August 1 through October 14, $40 from October 15 through October 29, and $45 on October 30 and October 31. For the Fun Run the fee is $20 through July 31, $25 from August 1 through October 14, $30 from October 15 through October 29, and $35 on October 30 and October 31. Packet pick-up is available the day before the event at North Wake Church and on race day at Joyner Park. Registration is also accepted on the day of the event at Joyner Park.
A T-shirt is included with registration; those registered before October 15 will receive a T-shirt. Awards are given to the top overall male and female and to the top male and female in each age group: 10 and under, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, and 71 plus.
