Mercy Franklin Classic
The Mercy Franklin Classic is a community running event in Franklin, TN held on Labor Day, September 7, 2026. The event offers multiple distances and a dedicated children’s race and activity area. Proceeds and registration fees support Mercy Community Healthcare, which provides primary and mental health services with a focus on serving underserved populations.
Distances include:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K (combo of 10K and 5K)
- 1K Kids Run
All registrations include a race shirt. Registration fees are non-refundable; the policy also states there are no refunds if the event is canceled for reasons beyond the organizers’ control. Price increases and deadlines are published by the organizers.
The 1K Kids Run finishes with a medal for each child. A Kids Zone near the race area will feature games, face painting, and sweet treats. Awards are presented to male and female 10K and 5K runners, including 1st through 3rd places in age groups, Masters and Grand Masters categories, overall fastest placements, combo overall awards for 10K and 5K, and recognition for wheelchair athletes.
Free parking is available at the 2nd Avenue and 4th Avenue Parking Garage and street parking is also an option. The event solicits volunteers for setup, course monitoring, water stations, the kids zone, and teardown.
