Mercy Franklin Classic & 250th Birthday Celebration
The Mercy Franklin Classic is a community road-race event in Franklin, TN on Labor Day, September 7, 2026. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K (combo of 10K and 5K)
- 1K Kids Run
Registration is open. Published fees are: 5K $50, 10K $60, combo (5K + 10K) $70, Kids 1K $15, and Spirit Runner $25. Price increased on August 16, 2026. All registrations include a race shirt and a commemorative medal celebrating America's 250th birthday. Registration fees are non-refundable; proceeds support Mercy Community Healthcare's primary and mental health services. The event is held rain or shine; race officials may alter or cancel the event for severe weather or public safety concerns.
The 1K Kids Run includes a medal for each child and a Kids Zone with games, face painting and sweet treats. Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, Sept 5 at Christ Community Church, 1215 Hillsboro Road, and Sunday, Sept 6 at Mercy Community Healthcare, 143 Southeast Parkway Court.
Awards for the 5K and 10K include top wheelchair, overall male and female, master and grand master, and top three in each age group (age groups listed by the organizer). The combo entry has overall male and female awards. Volunteers are requested for setup, teardown, course monitoring, water stations and the Kids Zone. Sponsorship proceeds benefit Mercy Community Healthcare and offer community visibility and employee engagement. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
