Mercy Franklin Classic
The Mercy Franklin Classic is a multi-distance road race organized to benefit Mercy Community Healthcare. The event includes the following race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K (completed by running both the 10K and 5K)
- 1K Kids Run
All registrations include a race shirt. Posted registration fees are $45 for the 5K, $55 for the 10K, $65 for the 5K and 10K combo, $15 for the Kids 1K, and $25 for a spirit runner shirt only. Prices increased on August 16, 2026. Registration fees are non-refundable; no refunds are issued for cancellations due to weather, public health emergencies, or similar circumstances.
The 1K Kids Run awards each child a medal at the finish. A Kids Zone is available with games, face painting, and sweet treats. Awards are given in male and female divisions for the 10K and 5K across multiple age groups and overall categories including Masters and Grand Masters. Wheelchair athletes are included in 10K and 5K results.
Logistics details note free parking at the 2nd Avenue and 4th Avenue Parking Garage and additional street parking. Volunteer roles listed include setup, tear down, course monitors, water stations, and Kids Zone staffing. Proceeds support Mercy Community Healthcare services such as primary care, behavioral and mental health services, chronic disease management, and care coordination for underserved patients.
