Memorial Weekend Manteca 5K
The Memorial Weekend Manteca 5K is organized by the American Legion McFall Grisham Post 249 Foundation as part of the Not Forgotten Memorial Day Weekend Celebrations. The event aims to honor those who have served in the military, remember fallen service members and their families, and support Gold Star families regardless of political or religious views, race, or gender.
The 5K course runs through and around Woodward Park at 710 E Woodward Ave, Manteca, CA 95337. Multiple aid stations are placed along the route. Strollers are welcome. Registration fees are listed as an early bird price of $40 through April 30 and $50 thereafter; registration includes a finisher medal and breakfast.
Additional activities scheduled for the weekend include a Marine Cpl. Charles O. Palmer II Fallen Hero classic car show, a kids zone, various exhibits and ceremonies, a Patriot Riders escort for Gold Star families noted as in development, and planned helicopter landings from Vietnam era and Army Chinook aircraft.
