Memorial Day Apple Pie 5K and Whit's Frozen Custard Mile
The event takes place on May 25, 2026 at Spanish River Athletic Fields, 1000 Spanish River Blvd, Boca Raton, Florida. The program includes a 5K race, a one mile timed race, and free kids races for ages 8 and under.

Registration opens December 29, 2025. The main 5K registration closes May 18, 2026; other races accept registration through May 25, 2026. Entry fees listed include $35 for the primary 5K, $20 for the one mile, and no fee for the kids 100 yard race. Packet pickup is available at Runner's Edge from May 20 through May 23. Participants who register by May 20 for the 5K are guaranteed a finisher apple pie and a T shirt; one mile participants registered by May 20 are guaranteed Whit's frozen custard and a T shirt.
Timing uses Accuchip with five year age groups and awards including top three overall, top masters, and three deep in age groups from 10 and under through 70 plus. The one mile has top three male and female awards in specified youth age categories.
Proceeds benefit K9s for Warriors, which provides service dogs to veterans with PTSD or traumatic brain injury at no financial cost. Active and retired US Armed Forces members who pre register in person at Runner's Edge with ID receive free entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
