9/11 25th Anniversary Memorial 5K Run/Walk
Hosted by the Bluffton Firefighter Foundation in partnership with Palmetto Running Company, this event on September 12, 2026 in Bluffton, South Carolina marks the 25th anniversary of September 11. The gathering is organized as a run and walk to honor those lost on September 11 and to support local firefighters and their families.

Registration details vary by category. Registration opens May 9, 2026. Adult entry has a fee of $35 and a registration deadline of July 31, 2026. Special rates and deadlines apply to other categories: Fire Fighters and First Responders $30, Kids 12 and under $25, and the Kids 8 and under 400 meter fun run is free; some categories close September 10, 2026.
Proceeds are designated for the Firefighter Emergency Fund, which provides direct support to local firefighters and their families during times of injury, illness, and unexpected hardship. All participants receive a commemorative race shirt and a finishers medal. Event awards include trophies for overall winners and special awards for top overall male and female finishers, 1st place stroller, 1st place dog, and 1st place firefighter.
