Event overview
Plain Crazy (Winter) is a roughly 12.5 mile road/trail run taking place on 29 December 2025. The route is described as hilly, cold, scenic, desolate and windy, and may include snow. The event supports The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. A bespoke medal is awarded to all finishers. Prize categories include 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female, and V40, V50, V60 and V70 Male and Female. A GPX file of the route is available for download.
Logistics, facilities and rules
The race start is at Pepper Place, Warminster BA12 0DW. Parking is available at Imber Avenue, Warminster BA12 0DD. Facilities include toilets, refreshments for purchase, three water stations, first aid cover and event insurance. Registration and number collection take place on race day; race numbers should be secured to the front of clothing and remain visible at the finish. Entry fees are £27 for affiliated runners and £29 for unattached runners. Merchandise available for collection on race day: Mug £7.50, Buff £5.00, Bib Clips £6.00. The event is open to runners aged 16 and over on the day, no dogs are allowed, and a three hour cut-off time may apply due to winter conditions.
