Plain Crazy (Winter) 12.5 ish miles
Plain Crazy Winter is a 12.5 ish mile run scheduled for 29 December 2026. The course has been described as hilly, cold, scenic, desolate, windy and can even be snowy; one report from a past event even mentioned a lost shoe sole.
The event supports The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and in veteran categories V40, V50, V60 and V70 for both sexes. All finishers receive a bespoke medal.
Facilities listed include toilets, refreshments available to purchase, three water stations and first aid cover. The event is fully insured. Parking is available at Imber Avenue, Warminster BA12 0DD; the organiser asks that participants are courteous to local residents and consider car sharing.
Restrictions and key conditions are stated: the race is open to runners aged 16 years and over on the day, dogs are not allowed, and a three hour cut off may apply because of winter conditions.
