Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival
The Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival is a multi-day running festival held in Melbourne each October. The event uses a two-day festival format and features redesigned courses, changed spectator flow and upgraded amenities. Entry to the main races is offered through a mix of ballot allocations, guaranteed-entry pathways such as charity and travel packages, and affiliate allocations.
The Festival programme includes road races across a range of distances and a dedicated training hub with resources on fuelling, recovery and preparation. Supporting initiatives include a Run Club Partnership Program that places selected running clubs in official cheer zones and offers them limited entries, and a Club 42 experience that provides guaranteed marathon entry and a curated race weekend.
Recent event figures list over $2.7 million raised for charity in 2025 and ongoing fundraising partnerships with multiple charity organisations. The organisers also publish news and training content, operate a runners expo and provide information on road closures, volunteer roles, apparel and race-week services.
