About the race
The Meia Maratona do Douro Vinhateiro 2027 takes place on 30 May 2027 in the Douro Vinhateiro region, with activities in Peso da Régua, Lamego and Armamar. The official start is at Barragem de Bagaúste and the finish on Avenida do Douro in Peso da Régua. The edition marks the 20th anniversary and includes an event week with secretariat and an Expo.

- 21.097 km Wheelchair race (competitive, dedicated start)
- 5 km Walk (recreational, noncompetitive)
Key sporting and operational facts: the half marathon course is certified by the Portuguese Athletics Federation; the half marathon has a 3-hour limit; age minimum for the half marathon and wheelchair race is birth year 2009 or earlier (18+); the walk is open to all ages (under 16 when accompanied by an adult). Entry is via the GlobalSport registration platform and requires a participant account; registrations close when capacity is reached (limit 8,000 for the half marathon). Kits are collected before the event and include a chip-equipped bib, official technical t-shirt and a commemorative medal for half marathon finishers. Aid stations provide water and isotonic drinks at set points and medical coverage and safety services are deployed along the route.
