About the race
The event brings together two road races in São João das Lampas on 12 September 2026, organised by Meia Maratona de S. João das Lampas with institutional support from the local parish council and Sintra municipality. The programme comprises two distances:
- 21 097 m (Meia Maratona)
- 13 km (Meia Rampa)
The half marathon course is 21 097 m and follows a loop with passage through multiple localities including A-do-Longo, Areias, Alvarinhos, Odrinhas, Amoreira, Monte Arroio, Bolelas and others, with start and finish in São João das Lampas. The 13 km race uses the common first 13 km of the half marathon course and also starts and finishes in São João das Lampas.
Entries are processed online and follow phased pricing. Age limits and categories are defined: the half marathon is open to athletes over 18; the 13 km race to athletes over 15. Both races include male and female category classes from Sub-23 and Seniors to veteran age groups. Chip timing will record net and gross times, results are published in real time, and classification includes individual, category and team rankings. Aid stations are placed at 5, 10, 15 and 20 km on the half marathon route. Dorsal pick-up and secretariat operate at the Sociedade Recreativa building. Invoices are issued after the event.
