Event overview
The megsmiles 5K is scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 2026, in Mechanicsville, Virginia. The event is the 12th annual megsmiles 5K and includes an in-person 5K, a virtual 5K, and a Kids Run. Both the in-person 5K and the Kids Run are hosted at Atlee High School, 9414 Atlee Station Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116. Commemorative shirts and medals will be mailed to virtual registrants in late 2025 or early 2026. The event raises funds for the megsmiles Charity.

Standard registration fees are $40 for the 5K, $40 for the virtual 5K, and $20 for the Kids Run. Race-day fees increase to $45 for the 5K and $25 for the Kids Run. Registration for the virtual 5K ends January 10, 2026. The shirt cutoff date is December 10, 2025; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt. Packet pickup for in-person runners is provided on Friday, January 9 at Lucky Road Mechanicsville, 9325 Chamberlayne Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116, and there is additional pickup on the morning of January 10 at Atlee High School.
