Meglio's Run for the Pizza 5K
The inaugural Meglio's Run for the Pizza 5K takes place on October 25, 2026 in Newtown, PA at Council Rock High School North. The event combines running with fundraising for Breast Cancer Research and includes both timed competition and casual participation formats.
Two distances are offered:
- 1 mile fun run or walk
- 5K 3.1 miles
Two event formats are available: the Pizza Challenge, in which participants eat pizza during the run, and the Pizza Celebration, which features pizza after the run. The 5K is chip timed. Overall winners receive prizes and age group winners receive medals; there are separate winners for each format.
Included for registrants are an event race shirt, a custom 3 inch finishers medal for participants who complete their race, and two post-race pizza tickets good for one slice each. Pizza Challenge participants consume two on-course slices during the run, one during the first mile and one during the third mile. Pizza Challenge participants must remain in the designated Pizza Eating Zone while consuming pizza.
Other details: registration fee is $40. Shirts and sizes are guaranteed only for registrations received by October 11. Shirts, medals, awards, and pizza must be collected in person.
