Meglio's Run for the Pizza 5K
This event takes place on October 25, 2026 in Newtown, PA at Council Rock High School North and raises money for Breast Cancer Research. It is organized in coordination with Meglio's Wood Fired Pizzeria and combines running with on course and post race pizza.
Two distances are offered:
- 1 mile
- 5K (3.1 miles)
There are two participation formats. The Pizza Challenge requires participants to eat pizza during the run and again during the post race celebration. The Pizza Celebration format provides pizza only after the run. Pizza Challenge participants will consume two slices during the run, one during the first mile and one during the third mile, and must remain in the Pizza Eating Zone while eating.
Registered participants receive a race shirt and a custom 3 inch finishers medal upon completing the race. All registrants receive two tickets, each good for one pizza slice after the race. The 5K is chip timed. Overall winners receive prizes and age group winners receive medals, with separate winners in each format.
Additional notes: the race is held rain or shine. Shirts and sizes are guaranteed only for registrations received by October 11; shirts for later registrants are provided after the race subject to availability. Participants must be present to receive shirts, medals, awards, and pizza. There are no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
