Meglio's Run for the Pizza 5K
The event takes place on October 25, 2026 at Council Rock High School North in Newtown, PA. It offers on site and virtual participation and raises funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Distances
- 1 mile
- 5K (3.1 miles)
There are two event formats. The Pizza Challenge requires eating two slices of pizza during the run and participants must remain in the designated pizza eating zone while consuming slices. For the 5K this occurs during the early and later miles; the 1 mile challenge notes eating near 0.25 miles and again near 0.75 miles. The Pizza Celebration format includes pizza after the run rather than during it. All registrants receive two tickets, each good for one slice of pizza after the race.
Registrants receive a race shirt and a custom 3 inch finishers medal; the 5K is chip timed. Overall winners receive prizes and age group winners receive medals, with separate winners by format. Virtual participants receive a shirt and medal by mail but pizza is not shipped. Shirts and sizes are only guaranteed for registrations received by October 11. The event runs rain or shine. There are no refunds and participants must be present to receive shirts, medals, awards, or pizza. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
