Megavalanche Trail - Alpe d'Huez
The Megavalanche Trail in Alpe d'Huez is a one-of-a-kind trail race that takes place every year in early July. This 21 km course, exclusively downhill, starts at the Pic Blanc glacier at an altitude of 3300 meters and ends in Allemond, with a negative elevation of 2600 meters. Participants reach the starting point via ski lifts, a rare feature for a trail race.
