Megan's Mission 5k Run
Megan's Mission 5k Run is held in Coal City, Illinois, with both an in-person race and a virtual option. The in-person location is Babe's Tap, 515 S. Broadway, Coal City, IL 60416. The event dates span September 19, 2026 to September 29, 2026.

- 5k Run/Walk - 3.1 miles, out-and-back
- Virtual 5k - 3.1 miles
Registration opens April 17, 2026. In-person registration closes September 19, 2026 and the virtual registration window closes September 29, 2026. The listed registration fees are $35.00 for the in-person 5k and $40.00 for the virtual 5k. All participants receive a t-shirt with registration; shirts are guaranteed to participants who register by 08/30.
Proceeds from the event support the Megan's Mission Foundation and its work funding childhood cancer research. The foundation has raised funds to support research conducted in the Megan Bugg Global Rhabdomyosarcoma Research Laboratory at the Children's Cancer Therapy Development Institute and reports total fundraising of over $2.6 million to date.
