Megan's Mission 5k Run
This event takes place in Coal City, Illinois, with in-person activity at Babe's Tap, 515 S. Broadway, and a virtual option. The event window is September 19 to September 29, 2026. Two event formats are offered: an in-person 5k run/walk and a virtual 5k.

- 5k Run/Walk - 3.1 miles, out-and-back course
- Virtual 5k - 3.1 miles
Registration opens on April 17, 2026. Fees listed for the two formats are $35.00 for the in-person 5k and $40.00 for the virtual 5k. In-person registration closes on September 19, 2026 and virtual registration closes on October 6, 2026. All participants receive a t-shirt; shirts are guaranteed for those who register by August 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm.
Proceeds from the event support the Megan's Mission Foundation and its work to fund childhood cancer research. The foundation has raised funds to support promising research projects carried out at a global rhabdomyosarcoma research laboratory within the Children's Cancer Therapy Development Institute. All funds from this event will support the foundation's ongoing research and advocacy efforts aimed at ending childhood cancer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
