Meet of Miles - Howard County Striders
The Meet of Miles is an annual track event held at Oakland Mills High School on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Participants run one mile on the track, which is four laps. The meet schedules multiple heats that group runners by expected finish time. In addition to the mile, there are short races for younger children.
Registration is available only on race day. Fee structure from the event information shows low-cost options: Howard County Striders members pay $1 for an individual entry and $5 for a family entry; nonmembers are listed with a $2 student fee and a $5 family fee.
The typical event order lists the kids 100 meter race first, followed by a kids 400 meter race, then mile heats separated by expected finish time.
