Medoc Trail Races : Medoc Mountain State Park, Hollister, NC
The event comprises two trail races held within Medoc Mountain State Park. The courses share the same start and finish area and follow a series of loops on park trails. The longer course includes mountain bike trails and a summit loop.
Trails vary from wider paths to single track, with varied elevation and some short steep sections; one notable hill is on the summit side. Runners pass near waterways and wooded views. The course is not certified but was measured by participants.
Race support includes multiple aid stations on each loop stocked with water, Gatorade, and gels. Timing is provided by Clockwork Timing. Finishers receive event apparel and a unique finisher medal for each distance; the event also provides a special finisher's surprise, customized bibs with a trail name, and post-race food such as soup and grilled hot dogs. Free camping and volunteer support are part of the race experience.
Entry policies: combined field limited to 500 runners; all entries are final with no refunds or transfers; no race day registration. Race rules prohibit dogs, bikes, skates, and baby joggers on course and restrict number transfers. Participants are responsible for staying on the marked course and for their own hydration needs when required.
