Medoc Trail Races
The Medoc Trail Races began in 2008 as a runner-first trail event organized by a volunteer committee of four Rocky Mount Endurance Club members. Organizers provide long sleeve tech shirts, custom race medals, free camping, volunteer support, and an annual Finisher's Surprise.
The event takes place on October 17, 2026 at Medoc Mountain State Park in Hollister, North Carolina. The 2026 program includes two races that share the same start and finish area and run on similar courses. The longer route uses additional mountain bike trails and a summit loop.

After a brief section on park roads, the remainder of each course runs on trails arranged as a series of loops. Routes pass near waterways, traverse wooded areas and many single-track sections, and include uphill and downhill segments. Organizers note that runners may even see Medoc himself and advise caution around wildlife and trailside features. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
