MECCA MOVES! 5k 1k Run, Walk & Roll
MECCA MOVES! is a community running event on September 19, 2026 in Burr Ridge, Illinois at 150 Burr Ridge Parkway. The event is presented by The Mecca Center in partnership with The Village of Burr Ridge. All proceeds benefit Arab American Family Services to support domestic violence and elderly services.
Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 1K
- Kids Dash for ages 2 to 6 with a mini medal for every participant
Packet pick-up is available the day before the event on Friday, September 18 from 5 PM to 8 PM at The Mecca Center lobby, 16W560 91st Street, Willowbrook, IL. Race day packet pick-up is also offered at the event site.
Registered entrants who complete registration before the early deadline of September 11, 2026 will receive one short or long sleeve event t shirt. There is no guarantee of a t shirt with late registration.
Results for the 5K are chip timed on a USATF race course. Awards for the 5K include overall male and female trophies for places one through three and medals for first and second in standard age categories from under 13 through 70 plus. The 1K awards include overall male and female trophies for places one through three and first place medals in age categories from 5 through 70 plus.
