MECCA MOVES! 5k 1k Run, Walk & Roll
MECCA MOVES! takes place on September 19, 2026 in downtown Burr Ridge at 150 Burr Ridge Parkway, Burr Ridge, IL 60527. The event is presented by The Mecca Center in partnership with the Village of Burr Ridge. All proceeds benefit Arab American Family Services to support their domestic violence and elderly services.
The event uses a chip timed USATF race course and offers multiple distance options to accommodate a range of participants. Awards are offered for overall finishers and age-group winners. The 5K features overall trophies for male and female 1st through 3rd places and medals for multiple age categories. The 1K includes overall trophies for 1st through 3rd places and age-group medals, while the Kids Dash (ages 2–6) awards a mini medal to every participant.
Registration includes one short or long sleeve t-shirt for entries completed before the early deadline of September 11, 2026; there is no guarantee of a shirt for late registrations. A reduced price period is noted for earlier registrations with a higher fee for later entries, and a $10 discount applies for participants age 12 and under.
