Meatball Run
The Meatball Run is an annual athletic event held in Summerville, South Carolina. The competition features a 5K race that follows a USATF certified course through the historic district of the city. Participants begin and end the route at St Paul's in Summerville. The event is organized by the Summerville Italian Feast, with proceeds supporting the Dorchester District II Educational Foundation to fund STEAM programs in the local area.
Participants can choose from several participation options:
- 5K running race
- 5K speedwalking only
- 1 mile fun run and walk
- 5K virtual race option
Registered participants in the 5K categories receive a t-shirt and a medal. Those taking part in the 1 mile fun run receive a medal upon completion. The event recognizes performance and participation through various accolades. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age category.
