Meanwood Valley Trail Race 2026
The Meanwood Valley Trail Race is organised by Valley Striders Athletics Club and takes place in Alwoodley and Meanwood, Leeds, West Yorkshire on Sunday 23rd August 2026. The race is a single lap of approximately 7 miles over multi-terrain paths through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park. The course is described as undulating and includes features such as the "Seven Arches", the "Slabbering Baby" and the tunnel under the Leeds Outer Ring Road. The event starts and finishes at Old Leo's Rugby Club.
Entries are limited to 450 participants and entries close at 11am on Saturday 22nd August. Fees listed for the event are £18 for affiliated club members and £20 for unaffiliated entrants, with higher on-the-day charges noted. Results are chip timed. Prizes are awarded to the first three men and first three women overall and for male and female age groups from 40 through 75 plus using chip times.
Facilities at Race HQ include water, toilets, changing, showers and baggage storage. Refreshments are available at Leo's after the race. Parking is limited so car sharing or alternative transport is recommended. Trail or fell running shoes are strongly recommended.
