Event
The 15th Annual ME STRONG 5K takes place on January 31, 2026 in DeLand, Florida. The event is organized in partnership by ME STRONG, Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation, and the Rotary Clubs of West Volusia. Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is the presenting sponsor. The event benefits the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation.
Logistics and fundraising
The listed registration fee is $35, with a youth rate of $20 for ages 0-18. The price increases after January 1, 2026 at 11:59pm EST. Early packet pickup and registration are scheduled at Venue 142, 142 N Woodland Blvd, DeLand: Thursday, January 29 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM and Friday, January 30 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Race day packet pickup and registration will be on Indiana Ave in front of the historic county courthouse, 125 W. Indiana Ave, beginning at 6:30 AM. A Tribute Zone on the 5K route will display yard signs to honor or remember people; the last day to order signs is January 23, 2026. The organizers state that 100% of sponsorship donations will be used to ease financial burdens for community members undergoing cancer treatment, and that race proceeds will help with household bills for those battling cancer.
