MCTF Run The Track in Manchester stages races on a proper athletics track at Etihad Campus Athletics Track, Manchester M11 3FF. The event on Saturday 12th September offers precisely measured track distances in controlled, small fields so each lap is counted.
Runners can choose from the following distances:

Heats are organised by expected finishing time so participants run alongside similarly paced competitors. Personal split lap chip timing records each lap, and overall chip timing provides a finish time. Every finisher receives a bespoke medal designed for the series.
The format removes traffic and course irregularities by using a flat athletics surface built for running. The event is part of a series held across the country through late summer and autumn and uses deliberately limited fields.
