McNabs Half Marathon
Urban Trail Racing presents a trail race on McNabs Island, Nova Scotia. This event is the second race in the organizer's 2026 series. The route is similar to last year and runs by the stone walls of Fort McNabs, past the island lighthouse, and along the beach with views of the city.
Distances offered
- Half marathon - three loops starting at the visitor centre near McNab's Beach.
- Double loop - two loops starting at the visitor centre near McNab's Beach.
- Single loop - 7 km loop starting at the visitor centre near McNab's Beach.
Jet Boat shuttle services from the Halifax and Dartmouth waterfronts are provided by Sea HFX and are included in registration at discounted rates. Participants are asked to bring their own drinking containers to support a leave no trace approach at aid stations. Onsite medical support will be provided by Halifax Search & Rescue Medical teams and trail stewards will be available to assist with directions and aid stations.
A post race social will take place on the island with goodies, prizes, and a BBQ. The event will support Halifax Search & Rescue and Friends of McNabs Island through donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
