About the race
The McNabs Half Marathon is a scenic trail race held on McNabs Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. Participants run a half marathon distance featuring three loops around the island, starting near McNabs Beach. The course offers stunning views, passing historic stone walls of Fort McNabs, the iconic lighthouse, and beachside paths with city vistas.
The event promotes an eco-friendly "leave no trace" approach, encouraging runners to bring their own drinking containers. Shuttle service via jet boat from Halifax and Dartmouth waterfronts is included with registration. Onsite medical support and trail stewards ensure safety and guidance.
