McKinney Shamrock Run 5K : event overview
The 9th Annual McKinney Shamrock Run 5K Presented by HOTWORX takes place on March 14, 2026 at Towne Lake Park in McKinney, Texas. The event is a chip timed 5K with a race shirt, custom race bib, and a finishers' medal included with registration. A portion of event proceeds supports The Warrior’s Keep.
The event program includes cash prizes for overall top finishers with awards for age group winners. Cash prizes are listed as 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $50, 3rd Place $25, and a Stroller Strider 1st Place award of $25. Age group awards are given for male and female divisions in these ranges: 14 and under, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 and over.
A family oriented festival accompanies the race with local vendors, food options, a Shamrock themed photo booth, Irish music, and Irish dancers. Tupps Brewery will provide a complimentary green beer for attendees aged 21 and over. Event partners named for 2026 include HOTWORX McKinney, Trinity Falls, Whataburger, Prestige Community Credit Union, Auto Hail Repair Group, and Tupps Brewery.
