Event Overview
The MCCSC Family Fun Run is a community-focused sports event held at Grandview Elementary School in Bloomington, Indiana. This gathering serves as the final activity for local elementary running clubs and provides an opportunity for students and their families to participate in an active morning together.
Participants can choose between two different distances:
- 1 Mile
- 5K
The event is open to students, parents, guardians, and other family members. Registration is provided free of charge for all participants. While there is no mandatory fee, the organizers accept donations. All profits generated from the event are directed toward the Mental Health Support Endowment through the Monroe County Community Schools Foundation.
Activities and Atmosphere
Attendees are encouraged to wear school colors to demonstrate school pride during the runs. Youth participants who complete their events receive medals. Following the conclusion of the races, the event includes snacks and various activities designed for children.
The run is supported by volunteers who assist with various tasks to facilitate the morning's program. The course routes for both the 1 Mile and 5K events are planned around the school grounds and surrounding Bloomington area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
