McClellan Madness - March 6, 2027

McClellan Madness is a timed trail running event organized by Dirty Soles Trail Races at the McClellan Bike Trails in Anniston, AL. The event offers two timed formats.

4-hour timed format
8-hour timed format

The course is a single-track loop of approximately 4.1 miles with about 300 feet of elevation gain per loop. The race starts and finishes at the McClellan bike trailhead. The site occupies land formerly used as Fort McClellan; remnants of military activity may exist, so participants are advised to stay on the marked trail.

There will be a self-serve aid station at the start/finish with a variety of snacks, including vegan options if notified in advance. Organizers will provide staffed drinks such as water, Coke, ginger ale and Tailwind. Participants may set up a personal aid station at the start/finish, at their vehicle, on the grass or at the outdoor amphitheater. This is a cupless event.

Every participant who completes at least one loop will receive a custom finisher poker chip. The male and female in each timed format who cover the greatest distance will receive overall awards; ties are broken by who reached that distance first. Packet pickup is available on race day only.
