McCall Trailrunning Classic
The McCall Trailrunning Classic is an annual trail race held near Burgdorf Hotsprings in the Payette National Forest, in McCall, ID. The event uses sections of the original IMTUF100 course and has its start and finish at Pete Creek Trailhead and Campground, located 2.5 miles north of Burgdorf on French Creek Road. Free dispersed camping is available at the trailhead; additional paid and free camping and lodging are available near Burgdorf and at Secesh Stage Stop.
Distances offered:
- 50K
- 30K
Both races run on Idaho alpine singletrack. The 30K follows the "Legend of Bear Pete" loop used from 2015 to 2019 and gains about 3500 feet on a clockwise loop for 2026. The 50K begins on Willow and Jeanette Creek Trails, includes a climb of Crystal Mountain, and then joins the Bear Pete 30K loop to the finish.
Registration closes June 24 at 11:59 PM MT. The refund policy states a 50 percent refund is available until June 1 at 11:59 PM; after that date there are no refunds, and there is no rollover or transfer of bibs. If the race is cancelled for reasons such as fire or severe weather, refunds or rollovers are not possible. The organizers may consider requests related to personal financial hardship.
