Distances and Course

The event offers a 50K and a 30K trail run. Both courses are described as clockwise loops on Idaho alpine singletrack, located in the Payette National Forest near Burgdorf Hotsprings. The trails are part of the original IMTUF100 course.

  • 50K: Starts on Willow and Jeanette Creek Trails, includes a climb of Crystal Mountain, then joins the 30K loop to the finish.
  • 30K: Follows a loop called "Legend of Bear Pete," which the event used from 2015-2019. It has approximately 3500 feet of elevation gain.

Start and Location

The start and finish for both distances is the Pete Creek Trailhead and Campground. This location is on French Creek Road, 2.5 miles north of Burgdorf Hotsprings. Free dispersed camping is available at the trailhead. Other free, pay, and lodging options are noted as being nearby at Burgdorf and Secesh Stage Stop.
