Heavens Gate Marathon and Half Marathon
The event offers trail races near Riggins, Idaho.
The distances available are:
- 53K (approx. 33 miles), with around 13,000 feet of total climbing. It features climbs of over 5,000 feet, over 3,500 feet, and over 2,000 feet.
- 26K (approx. 16.5 miles), with over 6,000 feet of climbing.
- A Vertical Race (approx. 2-3K), which is an uphill-only race covering 1-2 miles with 2,500 feet of climb to the summit of Challenger Peak.
The Vertical Race is scheduled for Friday afternoon. The 53K and 26K races are on Saturday. Registration for the Vertical Race is free for entrants of the 53K and 26K events.
