Harrison Community 5K, May 31, 2026
The Harrison Community 5K is a community running and walking event held at Veterans Plaza on Harrison Avenue in Harrison, New Jersey. The event marks America’s 250th Anniversary and aims to promote health, community engagement, and local charitable support. Proceeds will benefit community charities and local outreach programs.
Distances and options:
- 5K Run/Walk : paid entry; includes T‑shirt and finisher medal.
- 1.5 km Walk : untimed, free; T‑shirt included, no medal.
- Dog Walk : untimed, free; T‑shirt included, no medal.
Event amenities include live text and email results, free finish line photos, DJ music, post race yoga, a massage and recovery station, and photo opportunities. The first 300 registrants receive a T‑shirt. Participants who register at least three weeks before the event will have their name printed on their bib. Bib pickup is available starting one hour before the event; last minute registrants may receive their bib number by text.
The course runs through community streets and nearby parks in Harrison, with spectator friendly sections, clearly marked routes, volunteer support, water stations, and course marshals. Top three male and female finishers receive trophies.
