Max 5K

The Max Arco Mastromichalis Foundation 5K is a community-centered race held in Charleston, West Virginia. This athletic event serves as a memorial fundraiser to honor the legacy of Max Arco Mastromichalis. Proceeds from the race are used to provide scholarships for graduating seniors at George Washington High School.

Packet pickup is available the evening before the race at the George Washington High School parking lot on Tennis Club Road. On the morning of the event, secondary check-in takes place at Slack Plaza. The race course or assembly area is located near 177 Summers Street.

Following the run, a local establishment, Fife Street Brewing, serves as a gathering point for participants. The brewery offers a specific menu item named in honor of the foundation, with a portion of those proceeds contributing to the scholarship fund. Recognition is provided for top finishers, with first, second, and third place runners over the age of 21 receiving a complimentary beverage after the event.
