Matlock Skyline Challenge for Derby MRT
The Matlock Skyline Challenge for Derby MRT is a scenic 22-mile (35 km) circular running and walking event held around Matlock and Darley Dale, starting from Hall Leys Park. The mainly off-road course features 3,300 feet (1,000 meters) of ascent, traversing high ground with diverse landscapes including villages, stone-walled meadows, moorland, woodland, and a castle. Participants can choose to walk or run solo or in groups on this unmarked route, requiring navigation skills.
Now in its second year, the event serves as a fundraiser for the Derby Mountain Rescue Team, offering a fun and challenging day out with a finisher’s certificate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
