Event details

Martley Madness is a trail and country lane race held in Martley, Worcestershire on 19 April 2026. The event is organised by the Worcestershire Trailblazers and holds race permit ARC/26/0331. Race capacity is 200 entries. Entry fees are listed as £18.00 for EA, ARC, WAC, SAC affiliated runners and £20.00 for unattached runners. Proceeds will go to the Worcestershire Trailblazers and the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (C.R.Y).

Course and facilities

The course is about 10 miles with approximately 8 miles on trail and 2 miles on public country lanes. Trail sections include woodland, ascents and descents of Rodge Hill and a section of the Worcestershire Way. The lane sections include mainly quiet single-track lanes and two crossings of a B road. Signage and marshals will be in place. A water station is provided approximately halfway; limited disposable cups will be available. Toilets are provided at the start and finish area; there are no changing rooms or showers at race HQ. Free car parking is provided within the grounds of The Chantry School adjacent to Sport Martley.

Timing, awards and rules

Chip timing will be provided. All finishers receive bespoke medals; trophies are awarded in overall and age categories for male and female runners (overall top three plus veteran age-group winners). Cake and fruit are offered to finishers. The event does not allow animals. Participants are asked to follow signage and marshal instructions for safety.
