The Bagel Run - Long Beach
The Bagel Run is a set of road races held at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach, California on January 16, 2027. The event includes multiple distance options and uses out-and-back courses along the beach path. The beach path is an open course shared with other users; runners are asked to keep to the right side for pedestrians while cyclists use the left side.

Course details note that the 5K route is used for the 5K and 10K, the 5-mile route is used for the 10-miler, and the half marathon combines the 5-mile route twice plus the 5K route. A fully stocked water station is located on course, and the finish area includes water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit snacks. Each aid station carries a first aid kit and crew members have received CPR training. Turns are marked with chalk, runner signs, and flags.
Event logistics include early bib pick-up at Sports Basement Long Beach on the Friday before the race and a registration tent with gear check on race day. Parking in the nearby lot costs $2 per hour starting at 8am; street parking is free. All finishers receive a medal and first-place overall male and female awards are given for each distance.
