Marsh Creek Sprint Triathlon
The Marsh Creek Sprint Triathlon is staged out of Marsh Creek State Park in Downingtown, PA, located just west of Philadelphia and minutes from the Turnpike. The event uses Marsh Creek Lake, a 500 acre body of water, for a time trial swim on a single loop, rectangular shaped course.
The event program includes individual triathlon, aquabike, and a relay option for teams. The bike is a single loop 20 km course on well paved roads with a mix of technical sections and long straightaways along trout streams and forests. The run is 5 km and remains entirely within the park, with lake views and an uphill at mile 1. Swim starts are run as time trials with two athletes started every few seconds; an Elite Box Start is available to position faster competitors at the front.
