The event is a fundraiser for Positive Alternatives Pregnancy Resource Center. It is sponsored by Right to Life of Sanilac County. Positive Alternatives has locations in Caro and Bad Axe.
Logistics and course
The race is based at Maple Valley Elementary School, 138 Maple Valley St., Sandusky. Packet pick up and the awards ceremony will take place inside the school. The event finishes on the Diamond Trail and is run through the streets of Sandusky. The 1 mile course is on the paved Diamond Trail. The 5K course uses the Diamond Trail, city streets, and some dirt roads. Timing and results are managed by Miller Race Management.
Entry, shirts and awards
All in-person participants receive a swag bag and a finisher medal. Registrations made by December 31, 2025 are eligible for a long sleeve shirt; shirt orders must be placed by that date to guarantee one. Leftover shirts may be sold at Mark's Barbershop in Sandusky. Awards: top 3 male and female finishers in the 1 mile and 5K walk; 5K run/walk awards are given by age group, from 9 & under through 80 & over. Same-day registration is available at the event.
