Mark Bancroft Memorial Run
The Mark Bancroft Memorial Run is a community running event held at Waubonsie Lake Park in Aurora, Illinois on October 3, 2026. The event is presented by the Knights of Columbus and supports multiple local and national charities, including Waterleaf, the Wounded Warrior Project, and Springfield Op.

The 5K registration includes a race shirt. Youth dash participants receive a finisher medal and a BBQ lunch; all registered participants are eligible for the post-race BBQ cookout. Additional meal tickets and extra race shirts are available for purchase. Registration categories include adult and minor pricing tiers.
Race day registration and packet pickup are available. Fundraising teams are supported as a way to increase participation and to raise funds for beneficiary organizations.
A virtual participation option is offered. Virtual participants may complete their 5K by October 3, 2026, choose their own course, and submit results through tracking apps or manual upload to the event results platform. Tracking via apps or connected wearables is optional; instructions and result-submission options are provided for those using Runkeeper or other devices.
