Event Overview

The Marie Curie Easter Running Event takes place on Sunday, 5 April 2026, at Ravenscraig Park in Kirkcaldy. The event supports the work of Marie Curie. It is held under a Scottish Athletics licence.

Races

Two races are offered:

  • A 2 Mile Prediction Run for participants aged 8 and over. The winner is the runner whose actual finish time is closest to their predicted time; the use of watches or phones is not permitted.
  • A 1 Mile Fun Run for children. Entry is free, though donations are welcomed. Participants under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. This run is not timed.

Both races start near the Kirkcaldy & District Men's Shed and follow an anticlockwise route around the park. All participants receive an Easter surprise goodie bag.

Event Information

Registration and number collection take place from 11:00am to 11:45am at the Kirkcaldy & District Men's Shed. No on-the-day sign-up or late collection is allowed. Public toilets are available, but there are no bag drop or changing facilities. A large public car park is available at Ravenscraig, with on-street parking nearby.

First aiders will be present for the event's duration, and a defibrillator is located at the Men's Shed. Participants are asked to bring their own filled reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste, with emergency water available. Wheelchair participants are welcome.

Results for the prediction run will be published via a Facebook event page. Event day photography will be provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
