Event Overview
The Marie Curie Easter Running Event takes place on Sunday, 5 April 2026, at Ravenscraig Park in Kirkcaldy. The event supports the work of Marie Curie. It is held under a Scottish Athletics licence.
Races
Two races are offered:
- A 2 Mile Prediction Run for participants aged 8 and over. The winner is the runner whose actual finish time is closest to their predicted time; the use of watches or phones is not permitted.
- A 1 Mile Fun Run for children. Entry is free, though donations are welcomed. Participants under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. This run is not timed.
Both races start near the Kirkcaldy & District Men's Shed and follow an anticlockwise route around the park. All participants receive an Easter surprise goodie bag.
Event Information
Registration and number collection take place from 11:00am to 11:45am at the Kirkcaldy & District Men's Shed. No on-the-day sign-up or late collection is allowed. Public toilets are available, but there are no bag drop or changing facilities. A large public car park is available at Ravenscraig, with on-street parking nearby.
First aiders will be present for the event's duration, and a defibrillator is located at the Men's Shed. Participants are asked to bring their own filled reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste, with emergency water available. Wheelchair participants are welcome.
