Mari Vineyards Wine Run 5k
The Mari Vineyards Wine Run is a chip timed 5k run and walk held at Mari Vineyards in Traverse City, Michigan (8175 Center Rd, 49686). The event starts and finishes at the winery and follows a mostly cross country route that includes vines and grass and has areas of uneven footing. The course uses two laps; participants may complete one or two laps as described by the event.
Registration includes a soft ring spun cotton T shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that also serves as a wine stopper, a race bib with chip timing, online results, and a pour of wine for eligible participants. Free race photos are available for download.
The event is professionally timed and scored by J3 Timing and results are posted online. Age group awards are offered in 10 year categories and winners must follow event start instructions to be eligible; awards are available on the day of the event only. A local charity partner for the event is the Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center, which provides intervention, prevention, and counseling services for children who have experienced abuse.
Minors may participate with a discounted registration but will not receive a wine glass or a wine pour. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground. Dogs are not allowed on site due to farm restrictions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
