Event
The Mari Vineyards Wine Run 5k is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Mari Vineyards, 8175 Center Rd, Traverse City, MI 49686. The event features a 5K chip-timed run/walk that is scored and timed by J3 Timing, with results posted online. Registration is open to a wide age range and lists eligibility from 1 to 99 years.
Course and format
The course starts and finishes at the winery and runs through vines and grass. It is described as a mostly cross-country style route with areas of uneven footing. The layout is a two-lap course; participants may leave the course after lap 1 if they choose. Wave starts are used and participants select a start wave during registration.
Registration, packet pickup and options
Registration includes a Super Soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that can be used as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, and a pour of wine (minors do not receive the wine glass or pour). Packet pickup is race day only; participants are advised to arrive about one hour before their selected start wave. A virtual participation option is available; registrants can pick up a packet and run independently or request a virtual transfer with packet shipment for an additional shipping and handling charge.
Awards and charity
Age group awards are offered; age group winners must start with the first wave to be eligible and awards are available for same-day pickup about one hour after the first wave.
