March for the Fallen 2026
March for the Fallen takes place on September 12, 2026 at Riverside State Park Seven Mile Airstrip, 7 Mile Trailhead in Nine Mile Falls, WA 99026. The event offers timed road and trail options and a virtual entry.
Participants may choose from multiple distances and formats:
- 5K run or walk
- 5K ruck, 35 lb minimum pack for awards
- 10K run or walk
- 10K ruck, 35 lb minimum pack for awards
- 15.6K run or walk
- 15.6K ruck, 35 lb minimum pack for awards
- Virtual entry, participant chooses place and distance
Registration opens May 22, 2026 and closes September 4, 2026. The listed registration fee is $30.00. All timed events include awards for top finishers where applicable.
Amenities and on-site features include event tees, ruck patches, barbecue, historic military vehicles and lawn games. Kids and leashed dogs are welcome and there is special pricing for children 12 and under. Organizers recommend filling ruck packs with food pantry items that will be donated to NewbyGinnings.
This event is part of the WA State Fallen Heroes Project, a 501c3 organization dedicated to honoring and remembering fallen military members, supporting their families, and engaging local communities.
