EDP Maratona de Lisboa
The EDP Maratona de Lisboa on 10 October 2026 is a 42 km road race with a 6-hour time limit and a participation cap of 18,000 runners. The course starts in Carcavelos, in front of NOVA School of Business & Economics, and finishes at Praça do Comércio. The route runs entirely along the coast and the river.
The event is part of the European Marathon Classics series. Registration fees increase by bands: the first 2,000 entries were priced at €70, entries 2,001–5,000 at €95, and subsequent entries at €130; a transaction fee of €4 applies. Registrations are personal and non-transferable, but transfers to the next edition may be allowed in exceptional, documented cases such as illness, injury, or pregnancy.
Participation kits including bib, timing chip, official technical t-shirt, and a bag are handed out at the Sport Expo at FIL on 8 and 9 October. Finishers receive a medal. Train travel to the start is available free for participants who present their bibs; Carcavelos station is about 1 km from the start and is served by the Cais do Sodré–Cascais line.
