About the race
The Marathon P'tit Train du Nord is a linear road running event set on the P'tit Train du Nord bike path in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada. The marathon covers forty-two kilometres between Val-David and Saint-Jérôme and follows a mostly descending profile with 220 metres of negative elevation. The route runs through forested landscape and along a trail described as a former pioneer route. The event weekend also includes a demi-marathon and related race-day activities.
The organizer notes a very high qualification rate for the Boston Marathon among finishers. Course records are listed with fastest times of 2:11:34 (2023) and 2:44:05 (2021) for the marathon distances. The race traditionally takes place the first weekend of October. The next scheduled edition is 3 and 4 October 2026, and registration opens in December 2025.
