About the race
Le Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes is a marathon event scheduled for 8 November 2026. The race covers 42.195 km between the Promenade des Anglais in Nice and the Boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes, and the course runs along the coast through several towns including Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Villeneuve-Loubet, Antibes Juan-les-Pins and Vallauris Golf-Juan.
The event reports a cumulative elevation gain of about 100 m and a time limit of 6 hours. Entry rules state that the race is open to competitors born in 2007 or earlier. The 2026 edition is listed as sold out.
Included for participants are an unlimited transport pass between Nice and Cannes on the race day, a personalized bib, a 17-litre race backpack, a finisher medal and tee shirt, timing and race photos, on-course refreshment points and bag drop service from the start to the finish. Organisers provide pacers at nine reference times to help runners target finishing times from 3:00 to 5:00.
The event holds AIMS and FFA international labels and appears on the World Athletics calendar. It is also part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors age-group ranking series, which awards points and qualification opportunities for age-group world championships.
