Maplewood Mile 5K : Run for the Trees: event overview
The Maplewood Mile 5K : Run for the Trees takes place on October 3, 2026, at Maplewood Park in Henrico, VA (321 Holiday Blvd). The program includes a main 5K race and a Kids' Fun Run. Race services include chip timing with live online results, finisher medals for all participants, and a technical short-sleeve race shirt for the first 300 registrants. The course runs on mixed paved and crushed-gravel paths through Maplewood Park, with tree-lined sections and a pond turnaround and a finish on the town green. The route is described as mostly flat and stroller-friendly. Accessible restrooms are available at the start and finish. Dogs on short leashes are allowed if registered as a dog-runner. Free parking is provided at Maplewood High School with a shuttle to the start area, and bike racks are available at the start/finish.
