Maplewood 5K

The Maplewood Mile 5K takes place at Maplewood Park in Henrico, Virginia. The course is described as scenic and mostly flat, winding along paved and crushed-gravel paths in the park. It passes tree-lined paths, a pond, and a historic gazebo, finishing on a town green. A separate Kids’ Fun Run is also held.

Participants receive a finisher medal. Top finishers receive awards and local gift certificates. The first 300 registrants receive a technical short-sleeve race shirt. The event uses chip timing.

Race day activities include packet pickup, a race briefing and warm-up, and a post-race awards ceremony with snacks, coffee, and a local food truck village. There are also kids' activities and face painting.

Free parking is available at Maplewood High School with a shuttle to the start. Bike racks are available at the start/finish area. Dogs on short leashes are allowed if registered. Proceeds from the event benefit the Maplewood Urban Tree Fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
