Mapleweird Community 5K & Fun Run
The Mapleweird Community 5K & Fun Run is an inaugural community race on October 25, 2026, held at Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood, St. Louis, MO. The event features a timed 5K and a separate untimed half mile Fun Run for families.

- 0.5 mile Fun Run (untimed)
The 5K is a loop course through Maplewood that passes parks and local businesses, contains some hills, and starts and ends at Schlafly Bottleworks. Awards will be presented in the 5K for overall and age group winners; age groups will be added later. Every child who finishes a kids run will receive a medal.
Costumes are encouraged for all races. The Fun Run will include prizes for best kid’s costume and best group costume. Adults registered for the Fun Run will receive a Schlafly beverage; children in the Fun Run will receive a spooky race medal. Organizers note an appearance by the Board of Directors in costume and a special prize for kids who beat them to the finish.
Packet pickup is scheduled at Schlafly Bottleworks on the following dates: Friday, October 23 (4:00 pm–7:00 pm), Saturday, October 24 (12:00 pm–4:00 pm), and Sunday, October 25 (8:00 am–10:30 am).
Post-race activities include live music and a Trunk-or-Treat during Schlafly’s monthly Sundaze fair featuring local artists, entertainers, and vendors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
