Event overview
The Maple Valley Turkey Trot: Thanksgiving Day 5K takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Maple Valley, WA. This is the 7th annual running of the event. The 5K is presented by Cayce Grove Law Offices and benefits the Maple Valley Food Bank; all proceeds will support Maple Valley Food Bank programs. Registration by November 1 guarantees a race day t-shirt; registrations after that date do not guarantee a shirt. Children in strollers are not required to register but will not receive shirts. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. The event encourages Thanksgiving costumes and accessories.
Course and logistics
The route is based at Lake Wilderness Park with the start at the Beach House. The surface is a mix of paved and gravel paths and is generally flat, with a slight incline to access the Green to Cedar River Trail from the arboretum; volunteers will be stationed at these points to assist as needed. Advanced packet pickup is to be determined and day-of packet pickup is provided. This event will not be chip timed. Jogging strollers are permitted on the course. Dogs are not allowed on the course except for service dogs. Bicycles are not permitted on the course. Water stations will be located near the Beach House. Parking is available in the lower lots at Lake Wilderness Lodge nearest the arboretum; upper lots near the lodge will be closed for safety on the route.
