8th Annual Maple Valley Turkey Trot 5K
The Maple Valley Turkey Trot is a community 5K taking place at Lake Wilderness Park to benefit the Maple Valley Food Bank. The event is presented as a family-friendly fun run and is described as untimed.
The course is an out-and-back route that uses paved and gravel surfaces and is generally flat with a slight incline where the Green to Cedar River Trail is accessed. Volunteers will be stationed at points on the course to assist as needed. Strollers are encouraged and children in strollers are not required to register, though stroller riders will not receive shirts. Dogs are not permitted on the course except for service dogs, and bicycles are not allowed.
Registration details are set for 2026 with a stated registration fee of $30.00; registration opens July 24, 2026 and closes September 1, 2026. Optional race t-shirts are available through sponsors and must be requested by November 1. Advanced packet pickup is listed as TBD and day-of packet pickup will be available. On-site amenities include coffee, snacks, a photo booth, a giant turkey photo opportunity, and music.
Parking guidance requests the use of lower parking lots at Lake Wilderness Lodge near the arboretum or the park parking lots; upper lots near the lodge will be closed for safety. All proceeds raised will fund Maple Valley Food Bank programs. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
