The Manitou Monster event in Rochester, Indiana, offers a 12K run, 5K run, and 5K walk on an out-and-back course finishing at Lake Manitou. Every 12K finisher earns a unique medal, and trophies and medals are awarded to top finishers across many age groups. It is sponsored by the local Rotary Club.

Event Information

The Manitou Monster 12K Run & 5K Run/Walk is held in Rochester, Indiana. It includes a 12K Run, a 5K Run, and a 5K Walk.

Course

Both the 5K and 12K events follow an out-and-back course. They start at the Moose Lodge on Westside Drive. The route encompasses Westside Drive and the Nickel Plate Trail. The finish line is on the beach of Lake Manitou.

Awards and Recognition

Trophies are presented to the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers in all three events. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each event across numerous age groups, starting from 8 and under up to 66 and over. Every participant who finishes the 12K Run receives a special Manitou Monster medal.
