Manitoba Marathon
The Manitoba Marathon takes place on the University of Manitoba campus in Winnipeg, with start and finish areas located at Princess Auto Stadium. Finishers enter the stadium for a field-level finish; recovery, medical and family meet-up areas are provided within the stadium.
Offered events and distances include:
- 42.2 km Full Marathon
- 21.1 km Half Marathon
- Relay
- 10 km
- 5 km Super Run
- Mini & Mighty Mites
Timing for individual events uses chip bibs; relay teams use a timing bib belt transferred at exchange stations. Race kits are distributed at a two-day Fit Expo; race day package pickup is available only to participants who purchased that add-on. Clothing drop-off is located in the Pinnacle Room inside Princess Auto Stadium.
Race routes are closed to traffic. Bicycles, roller skates and pets are prohibited on the courses; baby strollers are not permitted on the Full, Half and 10 km courses but may be registered for the 5 km Super Run. Portable headphone devices are discouraged and are prohibited for elite athletes. The course closing pace is set at 14 minutes per mile; participants passed by the course closing vehicle are required to exit the course and are transported back to the university by shuttle.
The event partners with United Way Winnipeg for fundraising and supports inclusion programs. Registration for 2026 opens December 1. Entry fees are non-refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
