About the race
The Manitoba Marathon takes place in Winnipeg, with the start and finish lines located on the University of Manitoba campus at Princess Auto Stadium. This annual event features a flat and fast course designed for efficiency. The full marathon is an official Boston Qualifier.
The event offers a variety of distances to accommodate different participants:
- 42.2 km Full Marathon
- 21.1 km Half Marathon
- Marathon Relay
- 10 km
- 5 km Super Run
- Mini & Mighty Mites
All participants finish at field level inside Princess Auto Stadium. To manage the flow of runners, the event utilizes corral starts based on projected pace and chip-on-bib timing technology. Pace teams are also available for the marathon and half marathon distances.
Prior to race day, a two-day Fit Expo is held for participant package pickup. The race course is completely closed to vehicular traffic. For safety reasons, specific rules apply to the courses: baby strollers and joggers are only permitted in the 5 km Super Run, while bicycles, pets, and roller blades are prohibited across all distances. The course officially operates on a closing pace of 14 minutes per mile, with all participants required to finish by 1:00 PM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
