Manchester City Marathon
The event in Manchester, New Hampshire offers multiple road-race distances on a certified course that tours the city and nearby rail trail. Distances included are:
- Marathon : 26.2 miles
- Half Marathon : 13.1 miles
- 5k
- Relay options : 4 person full, 2 person full, 2 person half
The marathon is a Boston qualifying course. The route starts and finishes at Veterans Park in downtown Manchester and passes the historic Millyard, the North End, crosses the Merrimack River, continues onto the Goffstown Rail Trail, and returns to downtown for the finish.
Time limits apply: the marathon has a 7 hour limit and the half marathon a 4 hour limit; the 5k has no time limit. Aid stations are placed approximately every two miles with 17 stations for the marathon, 7 for the half, and 1 for the 5k. Stations provide water, Gatorade, and portable toilets except at two specified locations; GU energy products and bananas are available at several stations. Trash should be disposed of within 100 yards of each aid station.
Pace leaders are provided by OnPace Race for a range of goal times. Finishers in the marathon, half, and relays receive medals; age-group and relay awards are given according to event rules.
