Manchester Airport Duathlon
The Manchester Airport Duathlon on 18 October 2026 is a multisport event held at the Airport Inn, Altrincham Road, Wilmslow (Ashley area), near Manchester Airport. The event includes two distance options and is presented as an accessible introduction to duathlon for first timers while also offering a Sprint distance for more experienced athletes.
Distances
- Super Sprint : one bike lap anticlockwise; two out and back runs
- Sprint : two bike laps anticlockwise; two out and back runs
The bike route uses quiet country lanes around Ashley, Mobberley and Wilmslow and is run anticlockwise. The run course is flat, straightforward and includes an out and back section that passes through the runway tunnels. The route is fully signposted and marshalled. All riders must wear a fastened helmet before touching their bike. Mount and dismount lines are marked outside transition; competitors should not mount or dismount inside transition.
Event logistics note free parking at the hotel venue for participants, with vehicle registration required at reception. Registration on the day includes scanning entry confirmation, a helmet check and collection of a race number. Transition space is limited and athletes are asked to keep personal bags in their cars. The finish is at the start location and times are recorded automatically. The event provides water and sweets at the finish and lists entry prices between £20 and £25.
