MammothMarch Delaware Valley takes place at the Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area in Elkton, Maryland. The event utilizes a single-circuit loop within a 5,656-acre property that was formerly a large private estate. The landscape consists of woodlands and open fields situated near the borders of Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The event features a single distance:

• 20 miles

The course primarily consists of unpaved hiking trails, dirt paths, gravel roads, and forest floors. Participants encounter a total elevation gain of approximately 1,600 feet. The route is designed to be completed in approximately 8 hours, though there is no formal timekeeping or competitive ranking.

Aid and refreshment stations are positioned along the route at intervals of approximately 5 to 7 miles. these stations provide toilets as well as water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruit, protein bars, and sandwiches. Complimentary parking is provided on-site for all participants.

All participants who complete the distance receive a finisher medal and a personalized certificate. Those who do not finish the full loop receive a certificate noting their total mileage covered. Hikers can also collect stamps in a dedicated Hiking Pass. The event route is released approximately two weeks before the scheduled date.
