The event features a single-circuit loop of 20 miles. The published route covers a variety of surfaces including paved and unpaved hiking trails, dirt trails, gravel roads and forest floor. Total elevation gain for the route is around 950 ft. A final version of the route was to be made available about two weeks before the event.
Aid and refreshment stations are positioned approximately every 5 to 7 miles and provide toilets, food, and drinks. Station offerings vary and may include water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruit, cereal and protein bars, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. These refreshments are included in the ticket cost.
Participants receive a personalized certificate after crossing the finish line; those who stop early are issued certificates showing the mileage covered. All finishers receive a finisher medal and entry on the event wall of fame. Complimentary parking is available on site. A travel partner has secured a limited number of discounted nearby rooms.
